The Mt. Juliet Police Department Animal Control Division employs two civilian animal control officers. They are responsible for investigating animal cruelty cases, reports of rabid animals, and animal bites. The animal control officers enforce the leash law and other city ordinances regulating dogs, cats and other animals. Currently, animal control can only capture vicious dogs until the animal control facility is completed. Mt. Juliet Police Department is constructing a state of the art animal control facility that will include 48 kennels. It will be located off of Industrial Drive and is scheduled for completion this fall. Check back for status and photo updates of the new facility. Sergeant Keith Youmans is the supervisor of Animal Control. Animal Control can be reached by calling police communications at 615.754.2550 |
