Q: I have a box on the side of my house with a red light on top of it, what does this control? This controls a 2 HP centrifugal pump that sits down in a basin. When the water level in the basin reaches the desired level a float switch turns the pump on. All of the water and solids are sucked through the bottom of the pump and chewed up by a cutting wheel assembly. After that it is pumped through a small diameter pipe to the main sewer line. Once the water goes down to the desired level another float switch turns the pump off.
Q: If the red light on my box starts flashing, what do I do? If this happens between the hours of 7:00am to 5:00pm, contact 754-2554. If this happens after business hours or on the weekend call the police department at 754-2550 and speak with a dispatcher. If it is during normal business hours or after hours we will have someone come out to your home and see what the problem is. We have someone on call 24 hours a day 7 days a week for emergencies.
