The Mt. Juliet Police Department is committed to providing safety, security and protection for the citizens of Mt. Juliet. The department is pledged to developing a strong community policing program to increase the level of services provided to citizens and to utilize their resources to ensure a peaceful and orderly environment. All police officers are sworn to enforce the laws of the State of Tennessee and the ordinances of the City of Mt. Juliet to the best of their abilities. |

The department's enforcement actions will be based upon respect for individual rights and the commitment to protect the safety of all persons within the community. The Mt. Juliet Police Department will strive for professionalism and integrity by maintaining high ethical and performance standards. The department will encourage and support technical advancement, training and professional skill development to enhance its effectiveness, and providing the safest possible environment for all police department staff. The Mt. Juliet Police Department will remain committed to a cooperative team effort between all divisions. Employees will be encouraged and supported to be proactive and flexible in the identification of problems and solutions within the department |
